📈 Student Progress Dashboard

This guide explains how to view and interpret student progress, activity, and performance using the student progress dashboard.

Accessing Student Progress Dashboard

Student progress can be viewed on the student dashboard when logged in via the Parent/Guardian Login.

This dashboard provides a high-level view of:

  • Course progress
  • Grades
  • Activity history
  • Detailed performance data

Understanding Progress Bars

Each course displays a progress bar made up of three visual elements:

  • Actual Progress: Light Gray Bar (top): Represents 100% of the course timeline (total time allocated)
  • Expected Progress: Dark Gray Bar (bottom): Shows the student’s current pacing relative to the timeline
  • Colored Bar: Indicates actual progress and status:
    • Green: On track
    • Orange: Falling behind (1-9% behind pace dates)
    • Red: Significantly behind (More than 10% behind pace dates)

These indicators help quickly identify whether a student is keeping pace with the course.

Overall Progress and Grades

  • Located in the upper right corner of the dashboard
  • Displays:
    • Overall progress bar across all courses
    • Letter grades summary

This provides a quick snapshot of the student’s overall academic standing

Report Card

The Report Card tab gives extensive information about all aspects of a student's progress in each course, including when each course was assigned and when it's due, the letter and percentage grade, the hours logged working on each course, the number of finished and unfinished lessons, as well as the total number of lessons in the course, and more.

Daily Activity

The Daily Activity tab will show you the times that the student was logged into the system for each day. You can use the links to Show a different period and Download CSV to change the time period being displayed and to download a file containing the relevant information.

Messages

The Messages tab shows conversations and messages from staff/teachers, and is the hub where the student communicates.
