👥 How to Proxy as a Student

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged into your SchoolsPLP account
  • You must be assigned to the course containing the student
  • Proxy access is view-only and used for monitoring and support

Step 1: Sign In to SchoolsPLP

  1. Sign in to your SchoolsPLP account using your credentials.
  2. You will land on the Progress Tracking tab.
  3. View the list of courses you are assigned to as a teacher or instructor.

Step 2: Select a Course

  1. From the Progress Tracking tab, click the course that contains the student you want to proxy.
  2. You will remain within the Progress Tracking view for that course.
  3. A list of enrolled students will appear.

Step 3: Proxy as a Student

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click on the student’s name.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, click Proxy as Student.
  3. You will be redirected to the student’s dashboard.

What You Can View While Proxying

While proxying as a student, you can:

  • Access any courses the student is enrolled in
  • View recent activity and completed assignments
  • See how much time the student has spent in the platform
  • Review course progress and engagement
  • Access the student’s communication system, including reports and conversations

⚠️ Note: Proxy mode allows you to view the student experience for support and troubleshooting purposes.


Step 4: Unproxy as a Student

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. When you are ready to exit proxy mode, click Sign Out.
  2. An Unproxy option will appear.
  3. Click Unproxy.
  4. You will be returned to the backend in Setup Mode.
  5. Click Go Back to Normal Mode.
  6. You will be brought back to the student overview screen.

Best Practices

  • Use proxy mode to troubleshoot issues or support students
  • Always unproxy when finished to avoid confusion
  • Do not share student data viewed during proxy sessions
