How to Authorize Your Email for Buzz (LMS) Notifications

Overview

Buzz email notifications are separate from SchoolsPLP email notifications and must be set up independently.

  • SchoolsPLP notifications → Messages from the SchoolsPLP chat system
  • Buzz (LMS) notifications → Course activity (e.g., student submissions, replies, updates)

To receive Buzz notifications, you must authorize your email and enable notification preferences.


Step 1: Go to Notification Settings

  1. Navigate to the LMS Buzz
    1. Open any course editor to get into the LMS Buzz
  2. Open user Settings
    1. Expand the dropdown in the upper right below the person icon and select Settings

Step 2: Authorize Your Email

  1. After entering your email in the Notifications email box, Buzz will prompt verification
  2. Check your inbox for a message from:

    mailer@agilix.com

  3. The email will include a verification code
  4. Return to Buzz and enter the code in the verification box
  5. Click Verify

✅ Once complete, your email is authorized


Step 3: Enable Notification Preferences

After verifying your email, select which notifications you want to receive.

Common Teacher Notifications:

  • ✔ A student submits something
  • ✔ A student’s grade drops below passing
  • ✔ A student’s enrollment status changes

*Note: "Someone replies to your post" (This is for the LMS internal messaging not SchoolsPLP chat messages - Students do not have access to the LMS internal chat features)


What Buzz Notifications Do

Once set up, Buzz can notify you when:

  • 📥 Students submit assignments
  • 📉 Student performance changes
  • 🔄 Enrollment updates occur
  • 🐝Student has been blocked in a BusyBee chatbot item

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see the verification email
  • Verification codes expire after ~15 minutes
  • Make sure you click Save after updating notification settings
  • If you don’t verify your email, notifications will not be sent

👉 You must authorize BOTH systems separately:

  • SchoolsPLP → SchoolsPLP Chat notifications
  • Buzz → Course activity/BusyBee notifications
