How to Authorize Your Email for Buzz Notifications
Overview
Buzz notifications are separate from SchoolsPLP notifications and must be set up independently.
- SchoolsPLP notifications → Messages from the PLP chat system
- Buzz (LMS) notifications → Course activity (e.g., student submissions, replies, updates)
To receive Buzz notifications, you must authorize your email and enable notification preferences.
Step 1: Go to Notification Settings
- Log in to Buzz
- Open any course editor to get into Buzz
- Click Settings
- Expand the dropdown in the upper right below the person icon

- Locate the Notifications Preferences section

Step 2: Enter Your Email
- Confirm your Notifications email is correct
- If needed, update it to the email where you want to receive alerts
Step 3: Authorize Your Email
- After entering your email, Buzz will prompt verification

Check your inbox for a message from:
mailer@agilix.com
- The email will include a verification code
- Return to Buzz and enter the code in the verification box
- Click Verify
✅ Once complete, your email is authorized
Step 4: Enable Notification Preferences
After verifying your email, select which notifications you want to receive.
Common Teacher Notifications:
- ✔ A student submits something
- ✔ Someone replies to your post
- ✔ A student’s grade drops below passing
- ✔ A student’s enrollment status changes
You can choose how you want to be notified (email, etc.).
What Buzz Notifications Do
Once set up, Buzz can notify you when:
- 📥 Students submit assignments
- 💬 Discussion replies are posted
- 📉 Student performance changes
- 🔄 Enrollment updates occur
Tips & Troubleshooting
- Check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see the verification email
- Verification codes expire after ~15 minutes
- Make sure you click Save after updating notification settings
- If you don’t verify your email, notifications will not be sent

- Buzz → Course activity notifications
